Here, she studied many aspects of theatre including performance, directing, history, playwrights, lighting, sound, stage management and got a 1st for her play, White Feather, in her final year.

In 2010/2011, Nicola worked towards gaining Qualified Teacher Status via the Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP); allowing her to work full-time in a school whilst studying. Nicola was awarded an Outstanding grade in her Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and went on to teach in primary schools in Staffordshire and Cheshire for 6 years.

In January 2021, Nicola completed the final assignment for her PG Cert Professional Practice Voice Pedagogy which was completed through Voice Study Centre, formally Voice Workshop (accredited by University of Wales Trinity Saint David). Nicola chose to specialise in female adolescent voices and was graded a Distinction for her studies.

In March 2021, Nicola completed her Vocal Health First Aider qualification via Vocal Health Education. With her interest in keeping young voices safe, this qualification allows her to care for her students' voices more effectively. The course was run by Dr Jenevora Williams and Stephen King (Voice Care Centre).
